Kieran Hayler almost broke down in tears during an appearance on Loose Women today when he opened up about the sex addiction that caused his marriage troubles with Katie Price.
The former stripper appeared alongside wife Katie on a Bank Holiday Loose Women’s Loved Ones special and spoke for the first time about his infidelities.
Kieran was caught cheating on model Katie with her best friends Jane Pountney and Chrissy Thomas.
The couple’s marriage woes were highly publicised at the time, with Katie discussing their troubles and revealing Kieren to be a sex addict.
Kieren spoke for himself on television for the first time today, emotionally admitting that he “will never be cured” of his addiction but deals with it in a way that means it does not cause trouble.
Katie’s husband described her as being a “guardian angel” and credited her for saving him from his addiction.
However, it hasn’t come without hard work - while Kieran hasn’t had a session with a therapist for a year, he says he is constantly working on himself, and says at first he struggled to find a therapist who would commit to working with him.
Katie previously spoke of how she has forgiven Kieran after he proved to her she could trust him again.
She said: “I trust him and for our wedding anniversary this year, I always said ‘I never forgive, I never forget’.
“I have now actually said to him ‘I now forgive you, I do forget’ because I got to a point where I don’t have to worry about him.
“He’s changed so much, he’s proven himself and the best I could do is stay with him.”
