Kerry Katona’s marriage to George Kay may be back on track but her one-woman show is set to become her biggest career flop to date.

Theatre bosses are likely to cancel her “evening with” performance on November 4 at the Melton Theatre in Leicestershire because the opening night has sold a meagre 42 tickets.

The Atomic Kitten was hoping to sell out the 340-seat auditorium with cheap as chips (£20) tickets - a steal if you were tossing up between Kerry and tabloid rival, Katie Price, who outraged fans with a whopping £75 price tag.

Kerry had promised to share all the gory details about her rise and fall from pop stardom - drugs, booze, three husbands and how she ended up broke - twice.

The mum-of-five declared bankruptcy for the second time in 2013, so if the show doesn’t go on, it could sound the death knell for Kerry’s life in showbiz.

One disappointed fan told The Sun: “I’d bought them [the tickets] for my mum and her sister because they are big Kerry fans but when I looked online and saw that she’d only sold a few dozen seats I called the box office.

“They said because the ticket sales were so low the production was now unlikely to go ahead and that a firm decision would be made in a week or so.

“They told not me not to worry about the money though as everyone will receive a full and prompt refund if it doesn’t go ahead.”

Another fan had tweeted Kerry with the message: “Tickets &hotel booked...can't wait for November to travel to Leicester to see @KerryKatona7 at @MeltonTheatre with my char”

Staff at a theatre in Stamford are also in the dark about Kerry’s performance on November 11. One worker told The Sun: “We don’t know what’s happening because we can’t get hold of her people to send us posters and promotional material.

“We’ve sold a few dozen tickets but at this stage we don’t know if the show will go ahead.”

Kerry was slated to perform a 20-date tour but she’s been very quiet about her solo gigs on social media. The pop star has a future with Atomic kitten as long as nineties kitsch remains in fashion. But the 35-year-old might want to redial execs at Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity for a decent pay out.
