The 35-year-old has battled break-ups, drug addiction, bi-polar disorder and bankruptcy – and she credits her children for helping her get through it all.

Mum-of-five Kerry has opened up about her turbulent marriage to taxi driver Mark Croft, and admitted that, if it wasn't for the kids, she might not be here now.

Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: "I've never slashed my wrists because of my kids."

Kerry, who is mum to Molly, 14, Lily-Sue, 12, Heidi, eight, Max, seven, and one-year-old Dylan-Jorge, has their names tattooed on her wrists as a reminder of what she has to lose.

She continued: "If I was ever to do that it would me cutting through my kids' names. And what a selfish mother I would be to do that. Like any mother, my first love and priority are my children, above everything and everybody."

Kerry was married to Mark from 2007 to 2011, and she confessed that, during that time, she felt so trapped that she only saw one way out.

"I was thinking, 'How can I get out of this? I'm stuck. There's nowhere to go. The best way to end all this is to end my own life'," she said.

"That's how close I was to giving up on myself. I get asked about self-harming by fans and I want what I've been through to help others."

Former Queen of the Jungle Kerry revealed how a break away from Mark to a boot camp for two weeks saved her life.

She added: "If I hadn't gone I'd probably be dead now – I would have overdosed or something."
