She announced the end of her third marriage last October, after her husband George Kay was arrested following an alleged bust-up at their home – but as the case against him collapsed last week, pals fear Kerry Katona is now set to reunite with her troubled ex.
George’s trial – in which he was accused of slapping Kerry, leaving her with cuts and bruises on her face and arms, and pulling her hair and also being in possession of a stun gun – folded after she withdrew her evidence.
And while insiders reveal that George, 36 - who has a violent criminal past - was trying to sell a derogatory kiss and tell story about his marriage just days after she helped acquit him of the lurid claims, it’s been claimed he’s been bombarding Kerry with messages, pleading for a second chance.
A source says: “Kerry’s emotions have been all over the place after George told her he wants to get back together. He’s been phoning her up to ten times a day, and now that the case has been dropped he’s begging her for another chance.
“He’s told Kerry that he’s a changed man and can’t cope without her. Kerry still believes deep down that George is her soul mate - they've known each other since school and she can't imagine life without him. She feels very lonely."
