Kerry Katona’s new husband George Kay has suffered some bad press following his terrifying street meltdown in the summer brought on by a mix of steroids, alcohol and sleeping pills.

But one of the couple’s friends, B*Witched singer Keavy Lynch – who became close to Kerry during filming of the Big Reunion – tells Closer that George is the perfect gentleman.

She tells us: “Kerry is friends with everyone, George is too – he’s always there for a chat and a laugh. During the Big Reunion he was running around getting things for everyone - he even went to the shop to get tampons for the girls.”

Keavy, was also a guest at Kerry and George’s recent wedding and described their big day as “perfect” and that the celebrations were a family affair.

Keavy says: “George is a big friendly giant he’d do anything for anyone, it was very evident when he was marrying Kerry that he was marrying the kids as well.”

While Kerry and George have had their fair share of problems, Keavy believes they’re a couple that will last forever.

She adds: “I was never worried about George and Kerry, he was always by her side during the Big Reunion. They are absolutely gorgeous together and you can see what a team they are, yes, they’ve had some tough times but they are a really strong couple and family.”
