Now, Kerry Katona's friends are worried their rocky relationship is starting to show parallels with her disastrous romance with Mark Croft.
Last week, Closer reported how Kerry had started to freeze out her tight inner circle, including her mum and her best friend Danielle Brown.
And now pals fear she is becoming increasingly reclusive and dependent on George, who was accused of assaulting Kerry and possessing a banned weapon in October, but the case collapsed after she withdrew her evidence.
Worryingly, bipolar Kerry has already spoken openly about becoming a recluse during her four-year marriage to Mark, which ended in divorce in 2011.
In her autobiography Still Standing, the star described how she had become so paranoid and depressed during her marriage to Mark that she barely left her home.
Kerry said: "Before I had met [Mark], I was a very independent, strong-willed person who dealt with everything on my own, but when I was with him, he stripped all that away so I was completely and utterly dependent on him."
