Kerry Katona reportedly turned to therapy as she sought a healthy way to deal with her split from husband George Kay.

The former Atomic Kitten star was left devastated following the split from her husband George Kay just a year after their wedding.

Kerry, 35, looked into getting professional help to deal with the issues, before going on to have sessions with a counsellor in recent months.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "The break-up hit Kerry hard. She thought her personal life was finally on a good path and she would be with George forever.

"When the marriage fell apart she was heartbroken. She's a strong woman but knew therapy would help her deal with it all in a healthy way."

Her counselling sessions are reportedly being filmed, with plans to air them on Channel 5 show In Therapy next month.
