The 32-year-old gave birth to River Rose last June and, during an appearance on The Ellen Show, she admitted she wished she could use her fame to push things along during the final stage of her pregnancy.

The former American Idol winner told Ellen: "I walked in a week before she was due and… I had no dilation, there was nothing happening, and I just broke down.

"I was like, 'What can we do, what are my options?' I was like, this is the time I wanted to use my Kelly Clarkson card, like, 'Can you get a special surgeon for celebrities that can get them out sooner?' I said, 'I would drop my card right now!'"

But it seems Kelly's persistence saved her, as doctors agreed to perform a C-section and later discovered a natural birth might have killed her.

She continued: "I turns out I can't ever have a natural birth, [there's a problem with] my pelvic inlet or something.

The traumatic experience hasn't put Kelly off of adding to her family

"I was on the table, while the surgery is happening, and my doctors told me [River's] the only cone head baby to come out of a C-section, because she was stuck and I would have been one of those women who died back then."

River's traumatic birth hasn't put Kelly off, though. Instead, she's already planning her next baby.

She added: "Not right now, but I want another one in like a year."
