Kelly Brook has revealed that parts of her life in were ‘sensationalised’ in her autobiography, Up Close.
Kelly released the book in 2014, which shares intimate details about her love life, “violent and horrific” childhood memories, as well as her family – where she revealed she discussed dreading weekends because of her parents’ drinking.
Speaking to Fabulous Magazine, the model has now revealed that she regrets talking so in-depth about her life, saying: "It's probably the thing I'm least proud of in my life. I felt like I had to sensationalise my life more than it was.
"I probably wasn't that true to myself. I'm not saying it never happened, but it's not really my upbringing to air all my dirty laundry like that.
"I think it was a bad move. I kind of regret my autobiography.”
Kelly is currently filming Channel 5’s new dating show called It’s Not Me, It’s You, where there are two teams, captained by herself and Vicky Pattison.
And the curvy 36 year old has also revealed that she’s now happier than ever since leaving Los Angeles and ditching her diet and exercise regime.
Admitting that she was “health-conscious” in LA, Kelly told Fabulous Magazine that her focus has changed and she’s more “accepting” of herself.
“It wasn’t so much on my diet and exercise regime – it was more on enjoying my life a little bit more. My boyfriend [Jeremy Parisi] is Italian and lives in France, so I cook a lot of pasta and we have croissants most mornings.
“I’m more accepting of myself. You’re skinnier and toned when you’re younger. When you’re older, you have a few too many glasses of wine and too much chocolate cake.”
And now a size 10-12, Kelly has also admitted that sometimes she still edits her pictures to make herself “a bit better”, but says that all of her pictures have been Photoshopped since she started modelling, so doesn’t see the big issue with doing it.
In November last year, Kelly was hit by backlash after posting the following to her Instagram feed:
The brunette edited the picture to make her waist look smaller – despite her already lovely hourglass figure.
Kelly has been dating boyfriend Jeremy for 14 months, and despite a diamond ring on her wedding finger, she confessed that it’s not an engagement ring – it just happens to be the only finger the ring fits.
However, the pair seem to be very happy together as she explains that they “never argue or fight”, but Kelly is undecided on whether she wants to settle down and have kids, as she’s not sure how they will fit into her life right now.
