Kelly and David announced their engagement via Kelly’s Instagram page. She posted a snap of her and her new fiancé, captioning the photo with: ‘Lovely Weekend in Wigan meeting my New extended Family. Such happy times and excited to share my life with the most wonderful man I've ever met.’

A source told The Sun: ‘David proposed without a ring and friends think Kelly probably shelled out for her own.’

‘They rushed into the engagement then realised they needed a ring to prove it’s for real when they got photographed together.’

The news comes following reports that David had lost his mobile phone, which allegedly contained intimate photos of the couple.

The source revealed that friends were ‘obviously worried. All couples when they start dating take intimate pictures that are private to them and they are concerned the mobile might end up in the wrong hands.’

Kelly and David met on New Years Eve and the couple started dating seriously, with David reportedly ‘moving in’ to Kelly’s home within just a few days.

The couple reportedly split after Kelly was concerned that David was ‘using’ her for her fame. Kelly swiftly deleted all traces of David from her Instagram page following the brief split.

The couple then got back together, and shared the news of their engagement soon after.
