Kelly Brook defends domestic violence backlash: “It was poor management”

Kelly Brook has hit back at claims she was 'trivialising domestic violence' during an appearance on This Morning last week.

In her new autobiography, the model admits to punching her exes Jason Statham and Danny Cipriani, and appeared to laugh this off during her interview with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

However she has defended her actions and insisted she should have been briefed on the questions before her interview.

She told a UK radio station: "It was poor management on the producer's part. I think we all should have been properly briefed on something that was so serious.

"I didn't really understand what Phillip was trying to get at to be honest. I knew that he really wanted to talk about domestic violence, but then he didn't really go there and if I'm honest if he wanted to have a serious conversation about it then maybe we should have got someone else on the show and we could have had a proper debate about it, but that wasn't the interview."

Kelly admitted to laughing about the subject, but only because she has a 'giggly nature'.

She added: "Maybe I was a bit naive and maybe I should have taken that seriously.

"In my defence, I don't think he felt it, this is Jason we're talking about. He's a martial arts expert."
