'I'm 33, I know how to use my body and get pleasure from it. What's not to love about that?'
Kelly, 33 – who last month split from former rugby player Thom Evans – was recently a victim of weight jibes from Katie Price after taking part in a bikini photoshoot for high street chain New Look. The former glamour model took to her weekly column to reveal that she was ‘FLABbergasted’ by ‘how big she [Kelly] really is.'
But it looks as though the model has taken the comments in her stride, using them as a way to reaffirm that women should stick together and be proud of their curves.
‘I’m 33, I know how to use my body and get pleasure from it. What’s not to love about that? Experience makes a woman sexy,' she said.
‘I’m very proud to be curvy, prouder than ever because of these beautiful strong women that had my back. Us girls need to stick together. I love that women love my body!’
The Piranha 3D actress revealed that she was contacted by a host of women telling her to disregard Katie calling her a 'heffer': "When I was attacked unfairly by another female celebrity recently so many women jumped to my defence – I was overwhelmed.
'Women would contact me and say they loved my body and I was beautiful.'
'I think girls can get away with having a bit of meat on our bones'
Insisting that she was happy with her body, Kelly admitted that she has a 'naturally big bum, that's just my look.'
She added: 'I think girls can get away with having a bit of meat on our bones; I don't mind a wobbly arm or a bit of cellulite.
'I want to be toned and healthy but the skinniest I can be is eight and a half stone and a size eight and that's when people start saying I've lost loads of weight.'
She continued: ‘It’s hard being 33 and being a model but I do it because it’s nice to have a real representation of a woman out there.’
