The 61-year-old took to Twitter to share her happiness following the procedure.
Former boxing coach Kellie, who used to be known as Frank, wrote: "First day Abel to sit up in bed and surprise phone call from one of my favourite fighters Martin Power thank u Martin [sic].
"Reading my Twitter account this morning and can't recall talking to my friend white dee last night got lots of visited this weekend [sic]."
Revealing that she finally feels herself, Kellie added: "Never forget my pass but my further is going to be wful am so happy in myself and want to thank my lovely and close family #franklykellie [sic]"
Kellie plans to document her journey with a new autobiography.
A friend recently told The Sun of Kellie's nerves before the surgery. They said: "She was naturally nervous going into the op – but it's gone well.
"She's comfortable and just needs rest. She ensured she was fighting fit for the operation and got a to surgeon. It's a long road to recovery, but it will be worth it."
