Despite being declared bankrupt for the second time, Katie Price is reportedly planning to sell her “Mucky Mansion” in West Sussex to move 230 miles north to Yorkshire.
According to sources, the glamour model, 45, has her eye on a £2.5m mansion in Wakefield featuring six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a “leisure wing” with an indoor pool and a gym, a cinema room, three garages and views of a nearby golf course. Sounds epic.
And apparently, Katie’s new boyfriend, Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, 31, who she has been dating since January, is prepared to sell his Essex house to move with her.
The couple, who went Instagram-official in February and made their red carpet debut in March, have now set tongues wagging by eyeing up the family home. Katie, who is mum to Harvey, 21, Junior, 18, Princess, 16, Jett, 10, and Bunny, nine, even shared a picture of a neon sign that said, “Will you marry me?” on Instagram last week, which kicked off a flurry of messages asking her if he’d proposed.
If so, it'd be Katie's fourth trip down the aisle, and JJ's second following his show wedding to Bianca Petronzi. And we're here for it.
A source says, “Katie is sick of the Mucky Mansion and sees no future there now. She wants to move into her dream home, and she reckons this could be it.” After hearing about their potential new neighbour, one Wakefield resident said, “I’m sure she’s lovely, but there’s drama wherever she goes”, while another said, “It’s a lovely area and we’ll welcome her”.
However, the mum-of-five was declared bankrupt for a second time last month – the first time being in 2019 – and allegedly owes nearly £762,000 in unpaid tax. The source adds, “Quite how [the move] would work given her financial problems is a mystery, but she’s got it in her head this is happening.”
