Katie Price's mum has been diagnosed with a terminal illness
Katie Price has taken to Twitter to thank her fans for their support as she announces her mother, Amy, has been diagnosed with a terminal lung disease aged 64.
Katie shared a message detailing her mother's condition late last night, along with a caption saying: "Thanks for everyone's supportive messages".
She posted a note reading: "Just to clarify for all of you reading My mum has been diagnosed with a lung disease called Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) there is unfortunately no known cure for this. As a shock to us all, Me and my family are proud to be supporting the British lung foundation to help support awareness and raising funds for research of IPF.
"With this we can help in other diagnosis and create awareness for people with IPF. The condition has an average life expectancy of 3-5 years. There are two known pills which if they work can slow things down. My mum is a fighter she is working out everyday, going to work and living life to the full please help in supporting The British Lung Foundation so we can make a difference."
This news comes after Katie recently revealed she's planning to divorce her third husband Kieran Hayler as he'd been having an affair with their nanny Nikki Brown.
Nikki previously denied these allegations and accused Katie of lying as an excuse to get a divorce, however, Kieran has now admitted to cheating on Katie with Nikki multiple times.
Speaking to The Sun once more, Kieran opened up about the affair, insisting it was 'meaningless' and a result of his sex addiction.
He explained: "This wasn't a big love affair, I didn't fancy Nikki. I'm a sex addict and needed a thrill.
"If our nanny had been 80 I'd probably have tried to manipulate her into having sex too."
He also explained he was coming clean as he couldn’t stand to have Katie branded a liar.
"I've hurt her, betrayed her and now need to stand up for her. However bad I feel, I know I have made Katie feel worse."
