Katie, 37, took to Instagram to share a snap of Princess Tiaamii, seven, and one-year-old Bunny wearing their new winter beanie hats.

The former glamour model credited the picture with the name of the brand, which admits to using raccoon and fox fur to make its hats, and her fans were not impressed.

One user wrote: “I’m surprised at @officialkatieprice I had her down as an animal lover… [sic].”

Another disgusted fan fumed: “Vile, promoting poor helpless animals getting skinned alive for their fur. Shame on you @officialkatieprice [sic].”

While one follower begged Katie to stop promoting the use of real fur. They wrote: “You know I’m a big fan, followed you from day one. But please consider no fur or faux fur, it’s not fair on the animals X [sic].”

Mum-of-five Katie isn’t the only celebrity who came under fire for using animal fur this week: The Only Way Is Essex star Jessica Wright was also attacked on Instagram for the same thing.

Promoting a similar hat from her own boutique With Love Jessica, the 30-year-old shared a photo of her with co-star Pete Wicks.

But Jess’ followers weren’t interested in her and Pete’s are they/aren’t they romance – one wrote: “Why are you using real fur??? Animals skinned live to make a posy hay?!!!! [sic].”
