Katie Price received a lot of backlash following her London Terror Attacks tweets
The nation is in mourning following the tragic events at Parliament. On Wednesday [22] an attacker drove his car into pedestrians, stabbed a police officer and attempted to enter Parliament. Since the tragic events four people have died and 29 injured people have been left in hospital.
Near the time of the incident it appears that Loose Women panellist Katie Price was unaware of what was happening and although she was near Westminster at the time she took to Twitter to find out what happened.
However plenty of Twitter users slammed the reality star after she compared her experience of the events to a film. The mum-of-five tweeted: "Does anyone know what's happened on Westminster bridge hell of a lot of police cars ambulance traffic."
Several minutes later she tweeted: "Omg I was right by Westminster when it just happened, like a scene from a film."
And while a few of Katie's followers explained the situation, many of them hit out at the TV star. One person wrote: "It's not all about you Katie ffs"
Another said: "I'm sure that the family of the lady that sadly has passed away doesn't think it's a film scene. Perhaps think b4 tweeting"
A third person commented: "You are truly remarkable with this tweet and highly inappropriate… scene out of a film??? Think before you write!"
Someone else argued: "Of course you were. Now you can talk about how you survived it and 9/11 too, on Loose Women you melting frog."
One of her other followers wrote: "That seems a little crass"
Although some of the former glamour models followers defended her tweet. One of her followers wrote: "No need to rip Katie apart. 'Like a scene from a film' is often used to show how unbelievable something is, not to trivialize what happened."
Someone said: "Why the nasty comments to Katie, leave her alone… Glad you're safe though"
Another wrote: "Omg give her a break she only said she was close by… same as thousands of other people!"
Katie has since posted a photo on Instagram and Twitter and has wrote alongside it: "Thoughts are with all the victims and families of all effected in today's attack in London."
She posted a second photo on social media and wrote: "My thoughts and prayers to everyone involved in this tragic event today."
