Katie Price has outraged followers again this week for allowing her son Junior, 11, and daughter Princess, nine, on Instagram.

The mum of five created personal accounts for both kids after years of them nagging her to get on the photo-sharing site.

Katie’s lax approach to social media means both kids have PUBLIC accounts – not private profiles that can only be seen by (approved) family and friends.

We all know that public accounts attract comments and many of those comments come from trolls. Katie says she’s “vetting” what Junior and Princess post, but she can’t control all the freaks out there and how they respond.

Katie posted screen grabs of their accounts on her own profile last night with the caption:

“My baby boy has asked me for 3 years for Instagram so I’ve allowed it but I’m keeping my eye and have passwords.”

For Princess, she wrote: “Now my beautiful Princess has driven me mad for Instagram but I said I’ll be vetting it lol.”

After loads of followers pointed out the obvious about making their accounts private, one follower wrote: “That's too easy. She loves the negative attention.”

Others have pointed out the risks from inappropriate followers and comments:

“Too young... too many dangers even when parents are monitoring.. sorry my opinion!”

“Aww straight away on Juniors page (the photo with his food) some cracker bloke has commented ' lick my tits' then 'sorry I'm into your mama' honestly such sick sick people. It's a disgrace when you can't relax letting your children have Social media.”

“Bad idea for so many reasons ! It's a big bad world out there and there's plenty of app for kids social media is not a world that children should be involved.”

Although most of comments have been critical, some fans have defended Katie, claiming that Instagram is part of this generation’s milieu.

One follower wrote: “He's not too young this is a new generation, a technology generation, that's how it is now, my son is juniors age & has had an Instagram account for a year, no problems what so ever…”

And another: “People need to lay off seriously, she hasn’t put the girl on a dating website for god sake its Instagram and she has control over it. Get over it times have changed.”

Social media certainly isn’t the first public appearance for Katie’s kids. The pair recently appeared on Katie Price’s Pony Club and on Loose Women where they gave their verdict on mum’s relationship with Kieran Hayler – as well as their own.

This week’s Closer magazine reveals that both kids have had a long line of ‘boyfriends’ and ‘girlfriends’, with Junior stating: “Most of the girls have been my age, 11/10, and they don’t actually know what love is, but I do. That’s why I’m looking for older people.”

A leading psychologist told us that Katie is exposing her kids too much and too soon.

Emma Kenny said: “Junior and Princess may feel like they’re coping emotionally with life in the spotlight, but they’ve had so much exposure and are constantly surrounded by adults, so they’ve started believing they’re older than they are.”
