'I was out all night and half the next day'
The 35 year-old glamour model speaks about her ‘wake up call’ in the latest extract from her new autobiography.
Re-living the night in December last year – early on in her relationship – Katie explains that she had booked into a hotel after spending the day working and planned to meet up with Kieran at the suite later.
However, she ended up going to a party at London nightclub Mahiki and stayed out until the following day.
‘I don’t know what happened but the one cocktail I had at Mahiki turned into a complete bender. I was out all night and half the next day.
Possibly my drink was spiked, I don’t know, but the whole night was a blur,’ she says.
Having been helped to piece her night together, Katie continues: ‘Apparently, after Mahiki I ended up at Balans in Soho with Charlotte Church’s ex-husband, the rugby player Gavin Henson, and a group of other people and I carried on drinking.

She insists however, that nothing sexual went on between the pair: ‘I can honestly say that nothing happened with Gavin. There was probably flirtatious banter, nothing more.’
‘But I was still at Balans at 11.30am the following morning and after that we all went back to Gavin’s friend’s house,’ she adds.
After her PR had to collect her and take her back to the hotel – where she had left her phone - Katie discovered that her boyfriend had been trying to call her.
‘I discovered that Kieran had spent last night calling them and saying: “Why has she left me like this? I can’t believe she’s done this to me.” I felt awful hearing that. Really ashamed.’
But she re-iterates: ‘Honestly, absolutely nothing happened between me and Gavin and if anyone says differently then my drink must have been spiked because I don’t remember anything. The truth is we were surrounded by a group of friends.’
Explaining how nearly losing Kieran made her want to be with him even more, Katie reveals: ‘I realised that this was my wake-up call and that there was no way I was letting Kieran go. From that moment, we made a commitment to each other.’

According to Katie, 25 year-old Kieran - who she married earlier this year and recently had a son, Jett with - has ‘the perfect body.’
And she is not even bothered by the age gap between them both or the fact his Saturday night job is a stripper.
She says: ‘It helps that he’s gorgeous but it’s not just about his looks, it’s his character too.
‘I really feel complete with him, protected and looked after. That feeling of insecurity I’ve always had with other men, I don’t have with Kieran.
‘I feel more content now than I’ve ever been. And a confession: I’m so relaxed with him that I even fart when he’s in the room.’
Katie also says Kieran ‘the most romantic guy [she’s] ever been out with as her pays when they go out to dinner, but most importantly, he ‘a fantastic father.’
She says: ‘when he met the kids he was brilliant with all of them. He was especially good with Harvey, really patient and calm with him.
‘Kieran’s mum used to do respite foster care for autistic children, so he was used to being around children with special needs,’ she adds.
