Their’s has been one of the most turbulent relationships in recent showbiz history – with every moment of Katie Price and Peter Andre’s relationship played out in the media.
From falling in love to falling out of love, clashing over the children and court battles, they’ve been through it all.
Here’s the ups and downs of their relationship.
Jungle fever
Katie and Peter met in 2004, when they both took part in the third series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. The nation watched as they fell in love on camera – and, upon their respective evictions, they became inseparable.
The next chapter
They got married in 2005, at Highclere Castle in Hampshire. Their entire relationship was documented on reality TV, as they launched the Katie & Peter franchise on ITV2 after their time in the jungle.
During this time they welcomed son Junior, now 10, and daughter Princess Tiaamii, now eight.
Shock seperation
On 13 May 2009 Katie’s spokesperson confirmed the marriage was over. The announcement came two days after they filmed a segment for the British Soap Awards.
Slanging match
Almost immediately after a very public slanging match between the pair began. Katie claimed Pete left her because he didn’t like her drinking and having a good time, while he refused to reveal the reason.
Pete later told Piers Morgan: “Something big happened, which I won’t reveal as I don’t want my kids reading it. But when I tell them, I’ll come on your show and reveal what actually happened. Katie knows 100 per cent the reason why I left her and I am 100 per cent sure that what happened definitely did happen.”
Black cross
Just a month after their split Katie got a black cross tattooed over her inking of Pete’s name. During a trip to Ibiza, which she was heavily criticised for, Katie spent £85 on the tattoo, and later insisted she wouldn’t remove it because Pete had been a big part of her life.
Back to the Jungle
In 2009 Katie became the first celebrity to ever enter the jungle twice. She insisted she signed up for a second time to get closure on her relationship with Pete.
She said: “It’s where my fairytale started and it’s where it ends”.
Peter removes tattoo
During an appearance on This Morning in 2011, Pete revealed he’d had the tattoo of Katie’s name removed from his ring ringer.
Friends again?
As Pete prepared to take part in I’m a Celebrity in 2011, Katie caused meltdown by tweeting: “@mrpeterandre good luck in OZ remember what I said [sic].”
Olive branch
Amid reports they were getting back together in 2012, Pete told heat magazine that will never happen – but he did want to be friends.
He said; “If someone has done something to me, I never go back. And I never have. I just wanted to try and work together for the kids’ sake. I held out an olive branch. I thought, ‘How can we hate each other when we spent so much time loving each other’.”
Courtroom drama
In June 2012 Katie sued Peter over leaked details about her private life. According to reports at the time, court papers read Katie was suing for ‘misuse of private information’ and ‘suffering serious distress’.
At the time Pete suggested Katie had an affair while they were married [something she has always strongly denied].
Battles over the kids
Katie tweeted then deleted about Pete allegedly denying her the chance to see Junior and Princess over Christmas.
She wrote: “What kind of dad doesn’t let their children see their mum not even 1day over Christmas when the children want 2 c their mum #fakefamilyman [sic].
“From xmas eve am to nye am. I had them last xmas day he had them in the eve onwards. so selfish [sic].”
She added: “I HATE him so much. I wish people knew what he is really like! [sic].”
It’s all over
In December 2015 Katie settled her legal claim filed against Peter and her ex-manager in 2012, over the alleged leak of private information.
The full terms were not disclosed.
Friends again, again
It seems Katie and Pete have finally managed to put their differences to one side and actually be proper friends again.
During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine at the end of last year, Pete revealed: “It’s really strange even with things that have happened in the past, me and Kate we’re ok now.”
And in February 2016 Katie even discussed the possibility of them doing a joint photo shoot with their extended family. That was before the two of them started tweeting each other cute messages.
