The 36-year-old's husband Kieran, 27, speaks to 40-year-old Pete, and she admitted she gets on with Pete's fiancée Emily MacDonagh, 25.
Speaking to Fabulous, Katie said: "I talk to Emily and Kieran speaks to Pete. I like Emily and Kieran gets on with Pete. We make it work."
Katie and Pete share two children, Junior, nine, and seven-year-old Princess Tiaamii.
Despite their best efforts, it's been reported that arrangements for the children this Christmas are the 'tensest' yet.
Pete recently revealed: "I don't have Junior and Princess this Christmas as I had them last year and it'll be my turn next Christmas, but I've still got loads of things planned for New Year. I can't tell you though – it's a surprise!"
Emily gave birth to her first child this year, daughter Amelia, and it is thought that Pete wants all of his children to be together at some point over the festive period.
A source reportedly told Now: "He's furious because it will be his first Christmas with Emily and Amelia.
"He's prepared to drive from one end of the country to the other to see Junior and Princess but he's in the dark as to exactly what's happening. The truth is, Katie doesn't even know herself yet."
Katie is also mum to sons Harvey, 12, Jett, one, and four-month-old daughter Bunny.
