Reality star Katie Price is determined to have a baby with her boyfriend JJ Slater, despite warnings from doctors that it could be unsafe.
The mum-of-five has been very vocal about her desire for a sixth child, but medical professionals have told Katie, 46, that she’s putting herself and her next baby’s health at risk.
A source tells Closer, ‘Katie is ignoring all the professional fertility doctors’ warnings and has slammed all the negativity around her hopes. She has been told all the risks – and her last two pregnancies were both early term – yet she still insists on trying for another baby. Katie is putting her own mental health at risk too, she knows there’s a very slim chance of this happening, but she is obsessed.’

However, the former model has told pals she’ll make it happen no matter what and is even exploring the option of a clinic in Cyprus that seems willing to help her. She and MAFS UK star JJ, 31 – who began dating in February 2024 – previously holidayed in Cyprus together, which sources at the time told Closer was a ‘top secret baby-making mission’.
‘Katie and JJ are looking into the best specialists, and she’s even considering travelling abroad again for more advanced treatments. However, she won’t be filming it this time, that was too traumatic for her. She refuses to let this be the end. Katie has even started talking about adoption, something that’s now becoming a strong option for her,’ the source says.
‘She just knows she has so much love to give and refuses to let this be the end of the journey to expand her family.’

The former glamour model – already mum to Harvey, 22, with former footballer Dwight Yorke, Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with ex-husband Peter Andre, and Jett, 10, and Bunny, nine with ex-husband Kieran Hayler – also opened up about her recent ‘devastating’ miscarriage.
Katie discovered she was pregnant on Boxing Day, but she and JJ soon learned that they had sadly lost their miracle baby. She revealed, ‘We went to a clinic for blood tests and a scan. It showed where the baby was, but that it wasn’t alive anymore. It’s been devastating.’
Takling about the loss, Katie admitted, ‘I was just really sad because we went from joy and relief that I could get pregnant naturally, to confusion, heartbreak and sadness.’

Our insider says, ‘That loss has hit her harder than anything. After everything she went through with failed IVF, she really thought that this baby was her miracle.
‘She’d already started making plans and imagining what life would be like, and it was cruelly taken away from her. But if people think she’s going to give up, they just don’t know Katie. She’s determined to make this happen.’
Ahead of her split from previous ex-fiancé, Carl Woods, at the end of 2023, the couple filmed a documentary, Katie Price: Making Babies. The two-part series recently aired on Channel 4 despite the pair splitting over a year ago. Katie was shown having hormone injections, blood tests and scans as well as a surgical operation to retrieve eggs, doing everything she could to defy the odds. The show also revealed that Katie and Carl had been trying to conceive a baby for three years, with no luck. They were dealt a crushing blow when a fertility expert informed them that Katie only had ‘a couple of awake eggs’ left.

Katie recently teamed up with baby loss charity Tommy’s – the UK’s leading pregnancy and miscarriage organisation – and has previously opened up about having had ‘more than three miscarriages’ as well as a ‘near fatal’ ectopic pregnancy.
In January, she showed fans just how committed she was to having another baby. On her YouTube channel, she introduced fans to her three hyper-realistic ‘Reborn’ dolls. These lifelike, synthetic babies can cost anywhere between £300 to £20,000 and are often used by mothers grieving the loss of a baby.
In the video, Katie told fans, ‘Everyone was asking me online about babies because I put pictures up with babies. So, I do have my own babies, here they are.’

She added, ‘These are good for people who can’t have babies. People who have stillborns, people who have lost babies. The company actually do them for people like that. And why can’t you be an adult and have a doll? That’s what I say.’
The source tells Closer, ‘She already has so much on her plate with her kids and career, but Katie is stubborn. When she wants something, she won’t stop until she gets it. Whether that happens for her this time, only time will tell.’
