Katie Price landed herself in hot water last week when she posted a picture of daughter Princess wearing make-up, which many fans deemed ‘too grown-up’.
But the mother-of-five has remained unperturbed by the backlash, yesterday sharing another picture of her stunning little girl.
The picture was met with a fresh onslaught of controversy, with Instagram user bethm_93 writing:
"You are should be ashamed of yourself as a mother . .... you have managed to make your daughter at 8yrs old look atrocious. You really need to stop trying to live your failing career vicariously through your daughter. It's not an endearing look having a child pout in that manner and certainly not something to be proud of . Let her be a little girl and enjoy the innocence of childhood” (sic).
Danielledaly1 added: "She’s 8 not 18, she should be covered in mud not make up…."
Eloiselily90I wrote: "can’t imagine Peter Andre would be happy about this, very pretty little girl and she will be stunning when she's older as well but this is too much for an 8 year old... Way too much! There are some sick men out there that will love this... Have fun with your kids and make up but don't post these pics for the public……..”
However others defended Katie Price, with Locknesstheprincess writing:
"Who cares if this girl enjoys putting on makeup! Are you the parent? NO! Good on her for doing something she loves! She may want to become a makeup artist one day! And who is saying she goes out like this everyday? She probably just enjoys practising at home. At least she is staying out of trouble. Haters gonna hate! You just keep doing your thing Princess ☺️□ when people hate on you, it's because you've got something they want!”
And former glamour model Katie ignored the backlash, revealing to The Sun soon after she shared the snap that Princess has been signed to a model agency.
"I do not have to explain anything anything to anyone. Princess has joined a modelling agency so she has a lot of castings. Anything like a panto or acting she would love,” she revealed.
And addressing criticism, Katie responded: "Am I bothered? No. She loves make-up and if so good at it. We are in a theatre and there is make-up everywhere. When she is here, of course she can experiment."
