Katie Price has got three marriages under her belt, but former Gladiators star Ace – real name Warren Furman – could have upped it to four. The 47 year old was engaged to Katie for two years, presenting her with a £3,500 diamond ring before they split in 1999.
He spoke out about their romance for the first time in 2019, saying, “We were very similar people, we grew up with similar backgrounds, we both took our clothes off for a living. We were both deriving our identities from being relevant in the media. We were both selling stories.”
Warren – who is a born-again Christian – also urged his ex to find God to heal after what was a turbulent year of drug abuse claims and near-bankruptcy at the time. He said, “I feel God is saying to me, ‘Warren, Katie might listen’. She’s caught up in materialistic things.”
Katie found herself facing bankruptcy again in December 2019 after a year-long battle with the courts – and, at the time, sources told us that she'd reached out to ex-husbands Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler for cash handouts to cover costs.
"Katie is broke - but her exes aren't," our insider said back in 2019.
“She's told both of them that she expects some cash from them as she bankrolled them for years when they were married. She was always the money-earner, while they enjoyed her millions. Now the shoe's on the other foot, she doesn't see why they wouldn't help her out.
"She says she spent a fortune falling in love with the wrong men - now it's time to get what she's owed."
Gladiators recently returned to our screens for the first time in over a decade and has enjoyed major success, with millions tuning into watch the Bradley and Barney Walsh-fronted reboot.
We recently caught up with James Crossley - aka Hunter - who revealed he's still in touch with Ulrika Jonsson, who hosted the show in the 90s - and fellow Gladiator, Jet.
