Blaze at Katie Price’s ‘cursed’ mucky mansion

The fire brigade was called to Katie Price’s former family home in West Sussex last night after neighbours reported a “huge fire” at the property.

According to eye witnesses the blaze began when the caretaker started a fire in the yard but Katie’s reps have confirmed no damage was done to the house.

“I can confirm there was a fire on the grounds but no serious damage to the building,” they said.

"Eyewitnesses reported to the emergency services that the house was on fire but thankfully it was brought safely under control before any serious damage was done to the building."

Speaking of the scenes at Katie’s infamous ‘Mucky Mansion’ last night, a witness told The Sun, “Katie was horrified when she was called about the fire - apparently the caretaker built a huge fire right next to the house, and when it went up the side of the house was covered in flames.

"It was a huge fire - a neighbour called the fire brigade thinking the house was burning down. It was put out in the end but you could see the smoke billowing across the road. She says the house is cursed.”

Katie recently moved out and into a rental property with her eldest son Harvey, with all four of her other children living most of the time with their dads.

But she may want to set up a more permanent base if her plans to settle down with new boyfriend Carl Woods are anything to go by.

“Katie is having a really hard time and the only reason she’s stayed so positive is because of Carl’s support,” a source told Closer.

“Katie’s mates think he’s the closest thing to Pete – he already had fame in his own right before meeting her and has his own money and business. She can see them getting married and thinks it would be for keeps this time because he’s like her new Pete. She hopes she can repeat that fairy tale they had together before things went wrong.”
