Katie Price and her two children Princess and Junior were reportedly left fearing for their lives after their car was set upon by thieves in Swaziland on Thursday 29th March.

A gang reportedly made off with laptops, jewellery and expensive camera equipment.

Katie had seemingly been filming for the second series of her reality TV show My Crazy Life, when a group of men allegedly hi-jacked the car, punching the driver and making off with thousands of pounds of camera equipment as well as laptops and jewellery.

"We are lucky to be alive, it could have been much worse," Katie told a friend, according to The Sun.

The source then continued: “The robbers seemed to be off their heads. They were screaming threats and ordering all the passengers not to move.

“Everyone in the car was terrified, because they had no idea if they were just being robbed for money, if the gang might try to kidnap them — or worse."

They also explained Katie had been left 'shaken and traumatised' by the ordeal.

Speaking about the incident, which took place as Katie was being driven from Johannesburg to Swaziland, Police chief Brigadier Leonard Hlathi confirmed: “A British tourist and her two children were the victims of a robbery when they stopped on a road to allow the children to relieve themselves by the road.

“The car came to a stop in a very dark place and that is when three men attacked them.

“We received a call and went to help and were able to retrieve the car keys and assist those who were robbed.

“One man had an injury to his eye and was taken to hospital and treated and discharged."

An official from the local tourist safety board went on to explain, Katie had been at the 'wrong place at the wrong time.
