The 37-year-old was speaking to psychologist Dr Claudia Bernat for new show Katie Price: In Therapy, when she was asked about Harvey, 13.
Harvey, the son of Katie and former footballer Dwight Yorke, suffers from multiple disabilities including Prader-Willi syndrome, autism and blindness – and the former glamour model revealed she’s terrified of letting him down.
Discussing the option of respite care, where parents of children with disabilities are given a break, Katie said: “I won’t do [it] with him yet, because I don’t want him to feel like I’m letting him down.
“By letting him go, while I go and have fun with the others. I don’t want to leave him.”
While Katie obviously focuses a lot of her attention on Harvey, and insists she would ‘never change anything’ about him, she worries that her four other children might feel left out.
Because of Harvey’s mood swings, Katie admitted that she’s sometimes forced to miss things – like 10-year-old son Junior’s football matches.
She continued: “Junior understands. Harvey would smash up the car because he didn’t want to go out but then I don’t want to leave Harvey with someone.”
Katie – who is also mum to Princess Tiaamii, seven, Jett Riviera, two, and one-year-old Bunny – also touched upon her marriage to Peter Andre, confessing she thinks they’d still be together if it wasn’t for their constant reality TV shows.
