Horse riding enthusiast Katie Price, who is just about to release her brand new reality show Katie Price's Pony Club, shared a video on Instagram of her trotting around on her husband Kieran Hayler's beautiful brown and white horse.

She captioned the video: "Having a ride of Kieran's horse."

Katie's followers, many who follow her because of her love of horses, were quick to slam her for failing to wear a hat - even though she is an experienced rider.

Some branded her an "idiot" for sharing the video with so many young, adoring fans.

One wrote: "Great idea. Post a video not wearing a riding hat to loads of impressionable young people. Idiotic move!"

Whilst another also criticised her riding technique: "You're a role model @officialkatieprice you should be wearing a hat. And loosen up. For all the money you spend on lessons you look like a piece of cardboard riding a horse."

One even accussed Katie of "bad publicity", especially as her new television series Katie Price's Pony Club is set to air soon.

Another follower added: "With katie pony club about to be shown not really the best way to get publicity, if you have ever seen anyone with a head injury from a fall you really wouldn't take the risk."

In fact, it was pretty hard to find a comment that defended Katie's actions.

All this comes after her daughter Princess was involved in a horse riding accident last month.

However, one did comment that it was Katie choice to do whatever she liked, writing: "Health and safety police are out again. She is a grown woman. It's her head. Her choice."

After all the backlash, Katie uploaded a picture of herself riding another horse WITH a helmet on - has she relised the error of her ways?

What do you think? Is Katie being irresponsible?
