Katie, who was scarred for life when her ex-boyfriend threw acid in her face, received such vile messages about herself, her partner and her newborn baby daughter that she called in the police.
Back in February, Katie received a message from an 'LJR_Music' that read:
'Wouldn't it be hilarious if one of the nurses in the maternity ward throws acid in @KatiePiper_'s new baby's face when she gives birth.'
'Wouldn't it be hilarious if one of the nurses in the maternity ward throws acid in @KatiePiper_'s new baby's face when she gives birth.'
The 30-year-old model understandably takes Twitter abuse very seriously, and reported the tweet to the metropolitan police.
But sadly this was not to spell the end to the abuse on social media, with another user lashing out at Piper after she posted a feel good message to her page.
The drama began when Katie tweeted her inspiring mantra of the day: 'Make the present good and the past will take care of itself.'
Moments later, a troll replied: 'F*** you, f*** your half breed n***** baby daddy, your mind is just as f***** up as you hideous face.'
Katie responded: 'I am reporting you to the police.'
Undeterred by negative comments, Katie has shared an adorable glimpse at her newborn baby - seen in the background as she shows off her new manicure.
This week she tweeted an extract from her book: 'I will see the positive side of everything that happens to me. I will see each ending as a new beginning, and each challenge as an opportunity to show how capable I am.'
