Katie Piper shows off growing baby bump at Pride of Britain awards

Beautiful acid attack victim Katie Piper once said she feared motherhood wouldn't be on the cards for her anymore after she was brutally attacked in 2008.

But there were few people who weren't overjoyed to hear the news that the presenter and documentary maker, 30, is pregnant with her first child.

And attending the Pride of Britain awards last night, Katie dressed her growing baby bump in a white and black draped ensemble.

In her column for Now magazine, the blonde star said: 'My morning sickness isn't too bad. I feel nauseous, but I'm not throwing up - it just feels like one long hangover.'

She also admitted that she's taken to carrying snacks around in her handbag as she gets so hungry.

Last year the charity founder won a Special Recognition award for her work the The Katie Piper Foundation, that helps people cope with burns and scars, and fundraises so that individuals can receive treatments like Katie benefited from after her ordeal.

Katie was a succesful model and presenter before, at the age of 25, she had sulphuric acid thrown in her face on orders from her ex-boyfriend David Lynch. She has since produced several succesful documentaries around appearances, become an author, and won numerous awards.
