Katie Piper, 33, lost the sight in her left eye following that horrifying acid attack in 2008.
But now, after having an operation on her eye, the inspirational campaigner has revealed that her vision has improved dramatically.
Taking to Twitter, Katie said: "I had another eye operation yesterday @centreforsight. Was finding continuing treatment quite tough when so tired with new baby then… [sic]
"Today I had my post-op check with @sherazdaya and I can see three lines down the eye chart from one end of the room to the other! So thrilled! [sic]
"I never have been able to see like since I was attacked! Has really lifted my spirits. [sic]"
Unsurprisingly Katie's Twitter was flooded with congratulatory messages from her followers, leaving the founder of the KP Foundation feeling a little overwhelmed.
She wrote: "Thanks for all the lovely comments and wishes. , you are a kind and positive bunch!"
Katie has undergone a multitude of operations since suffering horrendous injuries in a 2008 acid attack.
At the time, she said: "Of all my injuries, it's the damage to my left eye that has the most impact.
"The hardest part is not being able to see anything on one side. In crowded places it leaves me feeling scared and vulnerable."
Following stem cell treatment, the vision in her left eye was restored and the 30-year-old has said of Centre For Sight: "The improvement in my quality of the life the treatment had given me is priceless."
In may, following another big operation, happy Katie revealed: "I had big operation @centreforsight 2day No pain relief needed my little lady takes all pain away just by lookin@ me [sic]"
With beautiful baby Belle Elizabeth to care for, we imagine that the gift of her improved sight will mean the world to Katie Piper.
We're so happy to hear her good news!
