The 32-year-old and Richard said ‘I Do’ in an intimate ceremony, surrounded by close friends and family, and Katie insists their big day came only second to the birth of their daughter Belle.
Speaking to MailOnline, Katie said: “Second only to the birth of our daughter, marrying Richie has been one of the best days of my life and I am so happy to have shared it with my close friends and family.”
Katie and Richard’s happiness comes after she revealed earlier this year they’d have to postpone the nuptials, due to surgery complications.
“Everyone says you need a year to plan a wedding and I’m like, ‘No, I plan events all the time, don’t worry about it. It will be fine.’”
Katie took to Twitter this weekend to gush over her wedding day. She wrote: “What an amazing Friday yesterday was – I got married! Thank you for all the lovely messages. What a kind bunch you are x [sic].”
