There’s no denying that Katie Piper is one of the most inspirational and courageous women we know.

In 2008, the beautiful young model and TV presenter was raped by her former boyfriend after she spurned his advances.

He then arranged for another man to throw sulphuric acid in her face as she left her London home.

The shocking attack melted away her nose, left ear and eyelids, burned her mouth, tongue, arms, hand, neck and cleavage, damaged a lung, and left her blinded in one eye.

Katie’s injuries were so horrific she was expected to die.

But, over 200 operations later, Katie has proven to be a survivor... and a true inspiration.

Sharing her story with the world, the mum-of-one went on to set up The Katie Piper Foundation, which aims to make it easier for people to live with burns and scars.

And, in a new short video, Katie has given her many fans a quick glimpse into her daily makeup regime.

The newly-wed can be seen applying beauty product to her face, before realising she’s being filmed.

Smiling sweetly at the camera, she says laughingly: “I’m doing my makeup!”

N’aww - could she be any cuter?

Katie previously opened up to Closer about her beauty regime, explaining that beauty products like Remescar helped her to regain her confidence following that shock acid attack in 2008.

She said: “I would definitely say that discovering products like Remescar have really helped with my confidence, both physically and psychologically.

“When you have an injury you look to the medical and beauty market to help. However, quite often you can try loads of different products and procedures that don’t actually work.

“This can be a massive anti-climax and I think can cause more harm psychologically. When you find something that works, something that has an active ingredient, and you see visible differences, it helps you progress. And with progress comes confidence, helping you to break free from your shell and feel better about yourself.

“I feel far more comfortable in the skin that I am in now.”

However Katie doesn’t feel as if she has to wear makeup to leave the house.

The brave mum-of-one said: “I often get my daughter ready and put her into a nice outfit and then her nappy leaks or she throws up on my outfit. So at the moment, I would say I leave the house without any make-up almost every day.”

Katie recently shared a sweet no-makeup selfie with her Instagram followers.

Snuggled up close to her husband, Katie couldn’t keep the beam off her face as she smiled for the camera.

She captioned the snap: “No make up, no shower and that's just him!

“Up out and on the first flight this morning.”

We think she looks beautiful.

Speaking previously to burns victims and people with scars, Katie said firmly: “It is important to remember that I didn’t feel confident right away, it took a long time. I would say to others don’t concentrate on the times you fell down, concentrate on the times that you felt on top.

“It doesn’t just come overnight, you have to really persevere and hang in there. Don’t be afraid to reach out for support and rely on other people. Sometimes if you let people in the days you can’t do it for yourself, you can do it for them instead, because you don’t want to let them down.

“For me, I found using a psychologist really helpful, it helped unburden some of the pressure.”
