As she does with most reality television shows, Katie Hopkins took to Twitter last night to provide a running commentary of ITV's I'm a Celebrity.

MELANIE SYKES IS FAVOURITE TO WIN I'M A CELEB

While she had something negative to say about pretty much every single contestant in the jungle, it was Mel Sykes that Katie really took a dislike to.

And it all stemmed from Mel's love of cooking.

Yup, as Michael’s deputy, Mel wasn’t allowed to help cook dinner for the group in last night's episode, but - clearly being trained by co-star and good pal Gino D'Acampo - the TV star tried to help prep the wallaby hind quarters for cooking.

When reminded that she wasn't allowed to help out, Mel got slightly upset - something which Kagtie Hopkins leapt upon happily.

"Mel is upset. She might need to t**t a bloke in a minute to make herself feel better," Katie wrote, clearly making reference to Mel's arrest and caution for common assault against roofer Jack Cockings - which she later got withdrawn and removed from police records.

But Katie didn't stop there.

She added cattily: "Mel tried to interfere with the cooking. The thing she HATES other people doing. So she is having another sulk. lighten up love.

"[She] is more fake than her tits. And less fun to hang out with."

She finished: "Mel doesn't like hierarchy. Or men. Or being told what to do. Or other people cooking. What does Mel like? Apart from Mel?

"[She] doesn't need a man. Her fake t*ts are 'cos she is self sufficient. Not for a man. But self sufficiency pulls confused face."

While many viewers took to Twitter to defend Mel from Katie's barbed comments, branding the former Apprentice star as a 'psychopath', some praised her for being so "spot on" with her observations.

Meanwhile Mel Sykes - who has proven to be popular with viewers thanks to her determination in the Bush Tucker Trials - is currently tipped by bookies to be crowned Jungle Queen.
