Chloe Madeley, 27, became the victim of abuse after she defended her mother’s comments on Loose Women, regarding the Ched Evans rape case.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Richard and Judy's daughter said: “This week I was confronted by a man who said he was going to rape me. He didn’t leap out, knife in hand, from a dark alleyway to issue the chilling threat. He didn’t sidle up to me in a nightclub or a pub and whisper it in my ear.
“Instead, he cowered anonymously behind his computer screen and sent me the vile threat through Twitter, the social media forum used by more than 270million people around the world."
Now Katie Hopkins has taken to her column to tease Chloe over her ordeal, insisting that Richard Madeley should not have called the police over the threats.

She wrote scathingly: "Calling the police about Twitter is a little bit like dialling 999 in a playground when someone calls you speccy four-eyes. Sure, it isn’t very kind but it is just kids being idiots. "
The 36-year-old added: "The thing about putting yourself on telly is you need to accept the reaction you get.
"The fact people are interested in what you are about to say and are prepared to join in the conversation is your asset.
"You capitalise on it every time you stick your face on a screen.
"When those people don’t like what you have to say and want to make their feelings heard, tough!
"You were happy taking their cash when they were calling in to your daytime show or texting in their views to support your career or buying your book."

Katie went on to suggest that Richard had actually enjoyed the media attention he had received during his daughter's distress, and went on to slam Chloe for using her father and mother's fame to forge a career.
She finished: " It may be a little blunt. But that is the beauty of Twitter.
"If you want polite, go to a tea party dressed in a frock.
"Don’t do a Richard and expect the boys in blue to come running because you don’t like what’s been said."
