Writing in her column for The Sun, Katie said that Stuart was nothing like the man we watched on TV – and suggested that the industry could be a cold place.

She wrote: "I think the distance between Stuart 'The Brand' Baggs and Stuart the man was vast.

"Without a family or kids who need you, the media can be a tough industry to work in. Sometimes you need the mundane in life to remind you what matters most is not being seen as successful, but helping the people you love the most to be OK."

Lord Alan Sugar, who worked with Stuart on The Apprentice, also remembered one of his 'stand out' contestants.

He wrote: "Terrible news Stuart Baggs has died. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. RIP one of the stand out characters of The Apprentice [sic]."

Yesterday it was confirmed that Stuart was found dead at an address on the Isle of Man.

A police statement read: "Following the earlier information provided by the police regarding the discovery of a body at an address in Douglas, police can now confirm that the man is Stuart Mark Alden Baggs, 27 years of age."

The cause of Stuart's death is still unknown.
