Katie Hopkins: ‘Parents of obese children should be prosecuted’

Katie Hopkins has blasted the parents of overweight youngsters, accusing them of ‘abusing’ their children by allowing them to become obese.

The controversial social commentator took to Twitter to vent about ‘fat mums’, writing: “Parents of obese children should be prosecuted. Child cruelty takes many forms - but we accept some of them.”

The 39-year-old rattled off some statistics as she continued to express her anger over the issue of childhood obesity.

“1 in 10 4 year old shots reception overweight or obese. Swap that word for smoking and more people would sit up and listen. WE ARE BROKEN.”

“1 in 3 kids over 15 are overweight or obese. And all we do is make bigger clothing to fit their huge girth. Repulsive.”

After telling Twitter followers that her children stayed late at school to exercise, she wrote: “I have a good mind to stand at the school gate reprimanding fat kids and their mothers. Every fat kids stands in the shadow of a fat parent.

“If parents feel guilty about their fat kids I am yet to hear about it. Most are fat themselves so call it genetics. it is KFC buckets. (sic).”

Katie has gained 3 stone as part of a documentary to prove that she can lose weight by eating healthy and living an active lifestyle.
