The beaming 31-year-old accompanied husband Prince William to the Tusk foundation gala dinner at The Royal Society in London.
And her appearance didn’t disappoint, with the new mother wearing a glittering floor length gown by Jenny Packham and matching killer heels.
The awards aimed to celebrate outstanding achievement in the field of African conservation, recognising the achievements of individuals who are ensuring the future of Africa and bringing the challenges faced by the continent to a global audience.
William was pictured talking to Gabon President Ali Bongo Ondimba, an influential figure in the world of African conservation.
And the African leader's first question was about baby George, with new father William proudly confirming: ‘We've left him at home for the first time.’
When asked by Ondimba who George most resembled, Kate confirmed:
‘Like most babies, he's got a mix of both of us.’
The event was all the more significant, as the Duke of Cambridge will now be concentrating on expanding his charity work.
Kensington Palace announced yesterday that Prince William has completed his final duties as a search and rescue helicopter pilot with the RAF.
And it seems this came at a good time.
The 31-year-old revealed last month that Kate was bearing the brunt of his son’s rather active nights, although her appearance last night certainly didn’t hint at sleepless nights.
Kate’s mother Carole has also been helping out on nightshifts, and following William’s latest career move, the couple will relocate from Anglesey to Kensington Palace.
