Kate Ford, famed for playing the scheming Tracy Barlow in Coronation Street, has apparently separated from husband Jon Connerty.
According to sources at a British newspaper, the actress has agreed to a trial separation from Jon as they've "grown apart":
“It’s very sad but they’ve simply grown apart. Nobody else is involved on either side.”
“Kate spends a lot of time working on Corrie in Manchester.”
However, while there's no denying Kate is away from her South London home a lot for her role in the ITV soap, friends have insisted that her time on Coronation Street has nothing to do with the split.
The same sources laim that, while Jon is working away from home at the moment, he is expected to move out - but both parents are committed to creating a stable environment for their five-year-old son Otis.
"[They] will continue to share custody."
Fingers crossed that the separation is only a temporary one but, if it does prove to be a permanent state of affairs, we're glad to hear that Kate and Jon are working together for the sake of their little boy.
