Pattie Mallette insists her son doesn’t have a problem and is refusing to help his manager Scooter Braun send him to rehab.

According to a source close to her, Pattie, 37, said: “Justin is not out of control. He has always been someone who has to do things his way. He will do the right thing and he will come out on top.”

After Justin was arrested last week for driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, many close to the star believe that he is losing control and needs to go to rehab.

However, the source continued: “As far as Pattie is concerned Justin can do no wrong. He is a real mummy’s boy and she would be devastated if that ever changed.

Even thought the label boss insisted he needed urgent help, she is keen to not be seen as looking to reign him in.”

Despite Pattie’s insistence that Justin is fine, since his arrest reports have emerged alleging that the singer has addictions to both marijuana and steroids.

She also insisted that he doesn't need to go to rehab

It was even reported last week by US gossip blogger Perez Hilton that sexts sent by Justin to ex girlfriend Selena Gomez had been leaked.

One of the messages reportedly sent by Justin said: “Can’t hear you over my cash, babe! You’re only famous cuz of me.”

Pattie’s friend added that she said: “People don’t talk about all the great things he does every day. He gives back to charities.”
