Deen Castronovo, who was behind hits such as ‘Don’t Stop Believin’, appeared at a court in Salem, Oregon this Tuesday, where he was charged with the rape of his wife.
On top of this he was also charged with sexual assault, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of menacing.
The alleged incident of domestic violence took place on June 14, and the rockstar is now being held in custody and denied bail.
Meanwhile hit rock band Journey announced they have replaced Deen following his arrest.
‘We have made the decision to have Omar Hakim play drums for the band’s upcoming U.S. concerts, as well as the band’s Canadian tour, due to Deen Castonovo’s pending issues.’
‘We are very grateful to Omar filling in with his musical excellence.’
So far there has been no official comment from Deen’s representatives.
