Her decision to renew her wedding vows with husband Kieran Hayler last weekend has been Jordan’s biggest declaration to date that the pair have finally worked through the fallout from his infidelity. But according to sources, the star’s close friends and family fear she’s using the celebrations to hide the cracks in her fragile marriage.
A source reveals: “Katie’s friends aren’t convinced her marriage to Kieran can last and, to a certain degree, they worry the latest wedding is just papering over the cracks. They believe she may be trying to mend the marriage, but aren’t sure she can fix it – or her heart.
“Naturally, her mum, Amy, can’t help but feel concerned, too – although she has no doubt that Kieran loves Katie.”
The source adds: “In the run-up to the wedding, Katie and Kieran haven’t been able to spend as much quality time together as they’d like. Between CBB, planning their big day and her health problems, they’ve been run ragged.”
Jordan, 36, revealed during her time on CBB that, following complications from a boob reduction in November, she had been left with a hole in her breast. She needed antibiotics and painkillers, and within hours of leaving the show, was rushed to hospital for emergency corrective surgery.
Now insiders tell Closer that increasing insecurity over her body has overshadowed the run-up to her dream wedding.
An insider says: “Katie’s surgery complications have left her really needy and she’s in agony. She would love to feel close to Kieran at the moment, but her chest is so sore she can’t even bear to let him touch her.
