Last night saw some of the biggest names in music gather at the annual MTV VMAs, which took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey
And one of the most talked about moments of the event was when John Travolta almost gave Taylor Swift's award for Video of the Year to a drag queen.
The awkward moment came as the veteran actor was on stage to give the unstoppable pop star the prestigious award, but almost gave it to a blonde-haired drag queen called Jade Jolie - pictured to the right of Taylor below.
As John leant forward to give the award to Jade she reacted by laughing and pulling away, before he was gently pointed in the right direction. Take a look at the awkward moment below.

Although she wasn't nominated in any categories, Queen Latifah performed a Main Show medley with Naughty By Nature, Redman, Fetty Wap and Wyclef Jean. She also presented Video of the Year with John Travolta.

The JoBros were nominated for Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Song of Summer with 'Sucker' which won Best Pop. They were also nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Group.

With nominations in eight categories, Lil Nas X had a big night! He won Song of the Year and Best Direction with 'Old Town Road (Remix)' featuring Billy Ray Cyrus.

Halsey was up for Artist of the Year, and her song 'Boy with Luv' with BTS was nominated for Best Art Direction, Best Choreography and Best Collaboration which then won Best K-Pop. Her song 'Nightmare' was up for Video for Good and Best Power Anthem.

French Montana was up for 'Best K-Pop' with 'Who Do You Love?', a song he featured on by Monsta X.

H.E.R. was up for Best New Artist, Push Artist of the Year, Best R&B for 'Could've Been' featuring Bryson Tiller, and she also performed 'Anti'.

Model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid wore sort-of matching outfits to the show.

Former Fifth Harmony singer Normani won Best R&B with 'Waves' featuring 6lack and also performed 'Motivation'.

Taylor Swift had the most nominations with 12, joined with Ariana Grande. She won Video of the Year and Video for Good for 'You Need to Calm Down', and Best Visual Effects for 'Me!' featuring Brendon Urie.

Woman of the moment Lizzo performed 'Truth Hurts' and 'Good as Hell', and was nominated for Best New Artist, Push Artist of the Year, Best Power Anthem for 'Tempo' featuring Missy Elliott and Song of Summer for 'Truth Hurts'.
And now, in true 2019-style, this moment has caused the Internet to react, with thousands of people taking to Twitter.
One user commented, 'Priceless', while another said, 'I'm not going to lie I had no idea this person existed until I saw them in the video of the year, and couldn't understand why Taylor was pretending to be Taylor.' [sic]
Another fan commented, 'To be fair, jade jolie looked A LOT like taylor swift. #VMAs', [sic], with one more saying, 'wait. does...does John Travolta not know who Taylor Swift is 😂😂'. [sic]
On the night, Taylor also wowed the audience with performances of her singles, Lover and her award-winning You Need to Calm Down.
The pop star bagged three awards in total, the highest number this year, joint with Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish. Taylor's awards were for Video of the Year, Video for Good, both for 'You Need To Calm Down', and Best Visual Effects, for her collaboration with Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco, 'ME!'.
