The morning after their big day, the new bride and groom took to Twitter to share some of the photos from their intimate ceremony.
The bride – who had not one, but TWO wedding dresses – posted a picture of herself in a fairytale-like strapless Vera Wang gown and veil on instagram.
The newlywed then thanked her Twitter followers for their compliments: 'Too many kind words flooding in. I was serious when I said it was a difficult thing not to share life with you. Love you guys.'
A second black-and-white snapshot features the couple standing close together in a private, loving moment, with Chrissy wearing a couture gown and flowers in her hair.
The 27 year-old model, who had kept the date of the wedding secret, recently revealed she had purchased three Vera Wang wedding gowns for her special day.
She said last week: 'Every time I went in [to Vera Wang] for a fitting, I couldn't stop getting one. It's just too pretty.'
34 year-old John also tweeted photos showing him relaxing with his groomsmen before the ceremony.
'Pre-gaming with the groomsmen,' he wrote.
John and Chrissy got engaged in 2011 after four years of dating,
It is thought the couple chose the Italian location for their wedding because it is where they fell in love.
The same source revealed that the couple's guests would be staying in a hotel in the region for about four or five days for the celebration.
