Joey is set to talk to young people about their employment prospects and about succeeding without leaving school with lots of qualifications.
He will appear in front of 16-18 year olds in Sunderland to share his experiences at school and since leaving education.
Joey shot to fame on reality TV series The Only Way Is Essex. He has since released his own dance record and starred in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
In March last year, he launched his own hair care range: Joey Essex D’Reem Hair. He also owns his own fashion boutique based in Essex named Fusey.
On the back of opening Fusey, Joey launched a men’s cologne, also named Fusey, and a woman’s fragrance named My Girl.
Joey has also used his celebrity to promote Volvic bottled water and Crazy Angel Fake Tan.
Councillor Malcom Graham, Gateshead’s cabinet member for employment and skills, told The Mirror: ‘We’re grateful to have Joey Essex who will be able to speak from experience how you don’t necessarily need great academic qualifications to succeed, just hard work and commitment.’
