Joey Essex speaks about his budding rap career ‘I’ve got the confidence, but it’s just being able to sing’

TOWIE’s Joey Essex has revealed that he is planning to take on the world of hip-hop and start forging a rap career.

The I’m A Celebrity star told The Sun: ‘I might be doing a deal. It'd take me a few years to do big shows.

I've done things like that but not actually sung.’Joey has previously ventured into music. He released his debut single ‘Reem' in 2011 and he even made a music video!

The TOWIE lad admitted that he’s aware he doesn’t have the best singing voice.

He said: ‘I've got the confidence, but it's just being able to sing.’

Joey even revealed to The Sun some of his inspired lyrics.

He rapped: ‘Yo, yo, you, yeah, my name is Joe, don't live in Hackney, don't live in Bow.’

Joey is currently promoting his new dance compilation featuring all the hits the TOWIE cast boogie to at the likes of Sugar Hut.

‘I'm really excited about this record deal. It's amazing to be making the ultimate dance album based on the tunes we play at Sugar Hut.’

Joey revealed: ‘Me and the label have spent loads of time choosing the tracks, mixing up new hits with classic dance floor bangers.**
