Speaking to a UK newspaper, the former TOWIE star, 23, admitted to starting things back up with Sam, following her recent diagnosis with Crohn’s disease.
Joey said: “Obviously me and Sam do have feelings for each other. I have been seeing her again.”
But he was quick to deny that anything had happened between him and Amy Willerton, saying: “There was never a relationship between me and her. Ever. Maybe she thought it was a relationship but it weren’t.
“It was just a laugh. There was never a romance.”
Joey, who dated Sam, also 23, for three years before they split last summer, said that he had been supporting her since she found out she has the incurable illness.
“As soon as I heard about what happened to her, I was so worried, so I dropped her a text. On the day she found out she messaged me in the morning. That’s when I went to see her for the first time.
“Now we have met up a few times and that. I haven’t had a serious girlfriend other than her. We’ll always be close. She’s a very strong girl, Sam.”
And Joey claimed that his days of sleeping around are over, saying: “It’s just like doing anything, if you do it for too long it starts not becoming as good as it used to be.”
