Joe Swash came to his girlfriend's defence after EastEnders actor Aaron Sidwell, who plays Steven Beale in EastEnders, insulted her performance.

Stacey landed in the UK last Wednesday after presenting I'm A Celebrity Extra Camp in Australia and the next day she was on stage playing Fairy Bowbells in the pantomime Dick Whittington.

However, after she was caught reading her lines from a clipboard on stage Aaron Sidwell called her out on it which led to Joe Swash (who used to be in EastEnders himself) jumping forward to defend his girlfriend.

The feud started when Aaron – aka Steven Beale - tweeted: "This is shameful. Shouldn't cash her pay check!"

Stacey's boyfriend Joe didn't take the comment lightly and replied to Aaron's tweet writing: "Why don't you PIPE DOWN mate and do your own thing BADLY! What a little hater YOU should be ashamed and I will tell you when I see you next."

Aaron then tweeted: "Twitter is for sharing your opinion, you have yours, I have mine. I'm not hating."

Things took a turn for the worst when Joe slammed him and said: "Yer and yours is S—T! And now I'm hating on you!! Worry about yourself! I don't think this acting is your game!! That's my opinion! Night XXX"

Joe continued: "@Aaronsidwell night sweet cheek! Ooh stop DM [sic] me saying sorry it's @StaceySolomon you souls [sic] say sorry 2??"

Aaron then apologised and tweeted: "Didn't tag either of you sonny intent was not to hurt anyone's feeling. Merely expressing my opinion as is my right as a British Citizen."

He continued: "But enough now. I wish you both successful runs in panto. #Namaste"

Joe then ended the feud saying: "If you want any tickets let me know! THEN maybe you can voice an educated opinion xx"

And Stacey tweeted: "When you have the most supportive and loving partner and you realise how lucky you are… @realjoeswash"

Cute!

Stacey's co-worker Samantha Womack also tweeted her support, she wrote: "Amazing job @StaceySolomon smashing it in the show and giving an incredible performance with very little time out of the jungle we love you."

On Loose Women today Stacey admitted that the comments did hurt her feelings especially as Aaron is in the industry and he knows how difficult your schedule can be. She also cleared the rumours and confessed that she did in fact know her lines, she used the script to know her stage cue.

What do you think of Stacey reading her script on stage?
