Dancing on Ice winner Joe Swash has revealed he’s convinced that he was suffering from Covid-19 when he won the show back in March.
Fans of the show will know that during the final weeks of filming, Joe was kicked in the head with an ice skate and had to wear a huge bandage round his head to prevent any further infection.
But now he’s said that his symptoms were so extreme that he thinks they may have been something more serious going on.
“In the final week of the competition I was really ill, I had a bad ear, I was being sick quite a lot, I had fever,” he told the Mirror.
"I think I may have had corona in the last week of Dancing On Ice."

Joe Swash and his professional partner Alex Murphy skated to victory on this year’s Dancing on Ice, beating diversity dancer Perri Kiely, causing outrage among some viewers who thought Perri had been “robbed” following his Bolero performance.
But the real drama of this year’s series was former model Caprice Bourret falling out spectacularly with her original skating partner Hamish Gamon, switching partners and then quitting the show.

Speaking to Closer last months about rumours of bullying backstage, Caprice said, “I’m done with reality TV. I did Big Brother and The Jump and I loved it, but I’m done now. Whoever was leaking those fake stories about me being a diva... It was all bulls--t. I couldn’t say anything, though, because of my contractual obligations, so it was unfair and undermining.
“Only a weasel would do something like [leak fake stories], when they know I can’t answer back. But I always move forward – and I thank God I’m in such a good place now.”
