Jodie Marsh has split from her husband, James Placido, less than a year after they tied the knot.

Taking to Twitter, the former glamour model wrote: “It is with sadness that I bring you the news that James and I have separated.

“I will be keeping all the dogs with me.”

She added: “I won’t be taking calls on the matter as I’d like to be left alone.

“I thank you in advance for your sensitivity on this subject.”

The couple married in August 2015 in a secret wedding in Barbados.

Posting a photo of her hand over her husband's as they modelled their wedding bands, Jodie said at the time: “I have news. I just married the love of my life, my soul mate, my best friend; James Placido I love you and I'm so proud to be your wife.

“I promise to love you, support you, encourage you, help you and I promise to make you laugh every day of our lives.”

The couple recently adopted two dogs together, named Jeff and Wendy.

Sharing a picture of her new ‘family’ at the time, Jodie wrote: “James and I with Jeff and Wendy our two new rescue dogs!

“We love them!!!!!”

As mentioned in her statement, Jodie will be keeping the dogs following her shock split from James.

Our hearts go out to the couple at this sad time.
